Super early October 16th, Chef trucked donations to Rutherford County to his families tractor trailer. I cried when he called to let me know he had made it safely. All of your contributions will be driven to Spruce Pine and then distributed by dirt bike and four wheeler. We had hoped that everything we collected FROM YOU would make a direct impact on people and it will. Like most small, mountain towns Spruce Pine was hit hard and it's incredible the work that is being done to reach people with limited access. Chef then headed to a church in Lake Lure with all of your monetary donations and Walmart gift card. This incredible church has been feeding families three meals a day. This is exactly what we would be doing if we were there. We wanted them to be able to continue their mission as long as possible. We are all a link a chain that connects community to community. There need is still great but we all made a tremendous effort to do our part. THANK YOU for being a part of it.
